I was initially attracted to Captivate Interiors by the colourful window display in the local Mairangi Bay shop. Once inside Jolene’s beautiful shop, I was made to feel very welcome and comfortable so I asked if she offered in-home interior design consults. I had a room that just wasn’t right and I didn’t have the confidence or knowledge on how to make it warm and inviting.
I was really impressed by how quickly Jolene picked up on what colours and designs I liked and how to make what I already had work in the room. She was able to make some quick changes with existing items and then put together a list of items I could repurpose or buy to finish the room. She offered continued support as items were sourced and was always available for a chat to offer advise.
To complete the room I decided I needed some new curtains. Jolene provided a full consultation and supply of the curtains that now hang in my lounge and will be well appreciated as we head into the cooler months of the year. Thank you, Jolene and team, for all your help and friendship.

Wanting a change and updated look in my living area, I needed someone to direct me, as I’m not great at having “a vision” of what looks good.
Discovering Jolene and Captivate in Mairangi bay, soon after it had opened for business, was like fate. She gave me confidence immediately to make brave and bold choices with wallpapers and colours. Without being pushy, or trying to upsell, she encouraged me with my decisions and helped me to keep them tasteful but vibrant.

Fabulous experience! After going around and around in circles about what I should do with my lounge/dining/kitchen area I decided to step into the beautiful Captivate store for advice.
Jolene was extremely welcoming and friendly. She popped around to my home and very quickly suggested concepts using an existing piece of artwork as a colour guide. It was a relief to finally be able to settle on the direction to take. I now have a beautiful decor that includes cushions and curtains from Captivate. Rather than suggesting I change the existing kitchen cabinetry colour, Jolene suggested a new splash-back in a 3-D tile. It’s given the kitchen a lift at a small cost and created a focal point which is much admired.
We are thrilled with our cushions and runner for the bedroom and lounge.
